The Killers - "Shadowplay": "I know I shouldn't like The Killers doing Joy Division, but I have to admit that I do. While it clearly doesn't have the raw electricity of the original, this crisper-sounding take on the song is no less dark, while having a 'cooler' sound and is maybe even a bit sexy (although I hesitate to use that word)."

Put down The Killers brutally destroying a pristine song, and back away slowly. It's ok...everything is going to be OK...

I'm not saying that it's better that the original - by no means - I'm just saying that I like it, which is just maybe because I've heard it too much on Live105 and it's now stuck in my head.
If you accept that it's a cold plastic version, it's not bad.
I mean, it's not like No Doubt doing "It's My Life."
